Centreplan designs and installs KFE grill station

Shopfitting company Centreplan has been instrumental in the design and installation of the new grilling area at KFE's showroom in Peterborough.

Centreplan has been breathing new life into fish and chip takeaways and restaurants since 1991, offering the complete design, planning and shopfitting service.

Having seen some amazing results once the refurbishments have been completed, many of its customers have reported higher than expected increases in turnover.

MD Vince Yarrington, comments: "As I always say to any potential customer, it's not just the quality of the food, it's the overall package, and image is paramount in this very competitive age."

Vince adds: "As one of the leaders in our field, we have worked with many of the top frying range manufacturers and the one company that stands out, not only as a market leader, but also as a company which offers the complete turnkey frying solution, is KFE. So when we were approached by managing director Paul Williams to re-design a section of his showroom, of course, we were thrilled and jumped at the opportunity to show him what we could do."

Vince initially produced an artist's impression detailing how the new grilling area would look, complete with equipment, show kitchen and lighting, and the comment from Paul was: "Well, if you can achieve anything close to that, I will be over the moon."

Centreplan delivered on every part of its promise to provide a first class environment where fish and chip shops can come to learn the art of grilling fish and, in fact, exceeded KFE's expectations. Vince adds: "It was a pleasure to be involved in the project, and I must say how proud I was on the opening day to hear all of the positive comments from some of the UK's top friers and major suppliers to the industry, and to receive the seal of approval from celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli."
